According to an interesting post made by #Theshaderoom, a California Highschool Teacher has concluded that generation Z, is the least educated and the most depressed and without value generation.
According to the post the generation know as Generation Z, colloquially also known as zoomers,
is the demographic cohort succeeding Millennials and preceding Generation Alpha.
Researchers and popular media use the mid-to-late 1990s as starting birth years and the early 2010s as ending birth years. Most members of Generation Z are children of Generation X.
Every generation looks slightly different. From Baby Boomers, Millennials, to Generation Z, while there may be some similarities, no generation is the same.
As we are in a time where social media and influencers are at the forefront of many people’s lives for entertainment,
and still in a national pandemic, some may feel that it has caused a drastic change in high school students.
According to studies teen depression grew 63 percent from 2002-2017 and teen suicide grew 56 percent.
Suicide replaced homicide as the second leading cause of death amongst youth in 2019.
According to a report from @NYpost, teacher #JeremyAdams shares why he feels Generation Z is less educated, depressed, and are without values.
Jeremy explained several reasons: his students were able to identify celebrities successfully,
#KendallJenner and #MileyCyrus but not policymakers like former Vice President #MikePence or House Speaker #NancyPelosi.
Jeremy says today’s youngsters are “barren of the behavior, values, and hopes, from which human beings have traditionally found higher meanin.
or even simple contentment.” In his book, “Hollowed Out: A Warning About America’s Next Generation,” he further shares why he feels this way about Gen Z.
