Days ago when Nene leaked made the revelation about her husband transitioning (dying) after reportedly losing his battle with cancer, many reacted.
Some people were broken by the news, while others felt a little confused, as she wasn’t expected to be away from him knowing he is losing his life .
Most people defended her, saying she is probably overwhelmed by the on and off cancer situation, and can’t sit and watch her husband pass on.
She has now announced the passing of her husband who has battled cancer fir a long time, before losing the battle.
Widowed Mr Leakes made the announcement at an Atlanta lounge on Saturday, August 28 2021, while she got emotional and scared.
Before revealing that her husband of 24 years is “transitioning to the other side” .
66 year old Gregg Leakes was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer back in 2018, and has been battling it the whole while.
He was said to have been in remission, up until the tough cancer blow came in months ago, and it all took a turn for the worse from then on.
Bebe was compelled to make the announcement after some guests at the lounge accused her of being rude by not giving them a birthday shout out.
While she was just done with the side talks and insinuations, Mrs Leakes went in stage and made the announcement,
Just to let everyone in on her current situation and stop the talks, she went in stage and addressed the guests.
“Nene then went on stage to address the crowd, saying “I hope you guys are enjoying the lounge tonight. “Please, I’m asking everybody in this lounge, I had no idea that I was going to walk in here and grab this microphone and make this announcement but I want to say this… I want to be at peace. When you see me and you see my son, give us a lot of love, okay? “My husband is transitioning to the other side… You don’t know what we’re dealing with right now.” Nene took to Instagram hours later to write, “Broken”. Nene and Gregg have been married for 24 years and have two sons together.
May his soul rest in peace. Cancer sucks indeed..
Post from #cynthiabailey Heartbroken.💔💔💔This is one of my favorite photos of us. It brings back such fond memories.
It was @itsmikehill birthday & we invited a few of our friends over for a last minute gathering at Lake Bailey.
Out of nowhere, Gregg asked to pray for Mike and I. For our love & our relationship. He was first person to actually pray for us as a couple.
It was so heartfelt and so beautiful. We were all so touched and blown away by his words.
I think Mike & I both teared up. There was sincerely a ministry inside of him. He truly blessed us that night & we will never forget it.
That was one of the many things that Gregg did to bless my life. I am so saddened to hear of his passing.
My heart and prayers go out to @neneleakes and her family. Gregg was a good man, so kind & so loving.
I will miss him, and will always honor his memory with love.🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽#RIP #greggleakes #heartbroken
