According to #washingtonpost, Body-cam footage shows 22-year-old Gabby Petito had a fight with her fiance, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie, a few weeks before she vanished.
The video released by the Moab Police Department shows that an officer pulled over their van on Aug.
12 after it was seen speeding and hit a curb.
According to a police report, a witness called 911 after he saw the couple squabbling over a phone outside a food store in Moab, Utah.
The onlooker said he saw Petito slap Laundrie during the argument. Petito then climbed into the vehicle through the driver-side window
The couple embarked on a cross-country road trip in July from New York’s Long Island, where they both grew up.
Their plan was to reach Oregon by Halloween, but Petito disappeared after her last known contact with family in late August.
Laundrie drove the van back to Florida on Sept. 1 alone. Investigators in North Port, Fla., where the couple lived, say Laundrie is a “person of interest” in her case.
He’s not been charged, but he’s also not cooperating.“The lack of information from Brian is hindering this investigation,”
North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said in a statement. “The answers will eventually come out.”
