An awkward situation was handled with complete denial, at an award ceremony on Tuesday, when the recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal blatantly refused to have any contact with the outstretched arms of Senator Mitch McConnell and Rep. Kevin McCarthy at the ceremony on Tuesday, which was to honour the law enforcement members who defended the Capitol on January 2021.
