Cleaning is an essential part of keeping a tidy and organized home, but not everyone enjoys the process. The thought of scrubbing and dusting can be daunting, and it’s easy to put it off until later. For example, anyone, where you perceive your toilet scent, will automatically remind you of the toilet. So when you go someplace where that scent is used in a common room or living room, you will tell yourself that the living or common room smells like a toilet.
Play music or a podcast while cleaning
Listening to music or a podcast while cleaning can make the time go by faster and make the process more enjoyable. Choose something that you enjoy listening to, whether it’s your favourite artist or an informative podcast. You can even create a cleaning playlist to make the process more fun. I personally have a country music-cleaning playlist, which I sing along to. But be careful, as this can potentially prolong your cleaning time.

Make Cleaning a game
One way to make cleaning more enjoyable is to turn it into a game. Set a timer for each task and see how quickly you can complete it. Challenge yourself to clean each room more efficiently than the last time, reaching corners, heights or angles that you normally would bother reaching. Doing this will enable you to have fun and accomplish your cleaning goals at the same time.

Having a clean and organized home can reduce stress and improve your mental health. Organizing your cleaning supplies and creating a designated cleaning area can make the process more enjoyable. Putting things around the house back in their place after use will reduce the amount of cleaning you will do every weekend, and reduces the negative perception cleaning brings, almost as if the house about to be cleaned, is after your happiness. By having everything you need within reach and a little to clean, you’ll be able to clean more efficiently and enjoy the process more.
